6 c. Polish wheat/Khorasan flour
1 T. cinnamon
1 T. ginger
1 t. ground cloves

Boil…


1 ½ c. honey
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar

Dissolve…

1 T. baking soda
½ c. plain yogurt or sour cream
Pour boiling mixture over flour and spices. Mix well. Add sour cream and baking soda. Stir well. Form
into ½ inch thick rolls. Roll in wax paper. Place on cookie sheet in fridge for several hours to 2 days.
Cut into ¼ inch thick slices, placing on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º F for 10 minutes or until
done. Place in covered container. Fills gallon jar but won\'t last long! Special Mennonite Christmas
cookie.
