Cheese Doodles

These are an annual Christmas treat at our house. The recipe is adaptable to your taste and came from my mother-in-law\'s creative mind!

1/2 c. butter
1 c. grated sharp cheese (I use some Imperial and now some from Kootenay Alpine!)

Add to creamed mixture:
1 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. cayenne, other herbs as inspiration calls (my favorite is basil which we grow, dry or freeze)
1/2 c. other grain (rye) or sesame or sunflower seeds

Roll into a log of 2 inches or so. Refrigerate. Slice off in 1/4 in. thicknesses. Bake at 350º F.
