(BREAK OFF BREAD, LIKE RYE CRISP)

Mix thoroughly, then make a well…
2 c. rye flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 c. butter

Mix and add...
3/4 T. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water

Add last:
2 c. rye flour

Knead 5-8 minutes. Divide into eight portions. Roll into 8-inch circle. Grease sheets. Prick with fork. Bake 15-20 minutes at 450º F.
